History

1969 - 1995
Founded by Steve & Elise Pittelman in Brooklyn, New York. Pididdly Links created antique reproduction pieces in Victorian, Art Nouveau, and other decorative styles. Pididdly Links used new old stock glass beads, Swavorsky crystals, brass, glass, rhinestones, and brass for most of their jewelry. (Read their story - 2014 interview)


Marks

~ Hangtags marked Pididdly Links on front and Ellenville on the backside are dated between 1969 and 1977.
~ Hangtags marked Pididdly Links on front and Kingston on the backside are dated between 1977 and 1996.
~ Stickpins were not signed
~ Earrings were never marked

Characteristics

~ Victorian, Art Nouveau & Art Deco stampings made up the majority
~ Brass was the majority of base metals but also did sterling and silverplate
~ Old glass was used whenever possible
~ Only did pierced earrings unless there was a spcial order for clip-ons
~ Lobster claw clasps were not used until 1990
~ No sterling prior to 1977
